AIGA Arizona Board Member: Building Community and Advocating for Good

Since 2018, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the board of AIGA Arizona, and it’s been an incredible journey of growth, community-building, and advocacy. I first got involved as a volunteer, eager to give back to an organization that’s done so much to support local creatives. Before long, I had the opportunity to become the Chair of the In-House Committee, where I got to connect with and support designers working within companies of all shapes and sizes.

One of my proudest roles was serving as the Design for Good Director, where I focused on destigmatizing therapy through creative initiatives. It was a powerful experience to collaborate with fellow designers and mental health professionals, using the universal language of design to spark important conversations and bring help to those who need it.

After that, I stepped into the role of Vice President, guiding our chapter alongside an amazing team and working to broaden our reach within the community. Now, I’m honored to serve as the Operations and Chapter Manager, making sure our day-to-day efforts run smoothly and that our members feel supported, inspired, and connected.

Through every position I’ve held, the heart of my work remains the same: fostering a vibrant creative community in Arizona, one that empowers designers to learn, grow, and make a positive impact on the world around us.
